Xbmc freeze using audioscrobbler

  • new cvs build today (5-3-2005) - i get a freeze in the middle of a song when i'm using the audiosrobbler feature. if audiosrobbler is turned off the problem goes away. also, if you try and "turn off" audiosrobbler i get a freeze...i must delete udata and tdata to get it turned off. i'm using the new paplayer, i'm running in 1080i at 16x9.

    i had this feature working for a few days when it first was available but stoped working about a week ago, sorry i don't have dates for you.

    not sure if this is a bug so i didn't post on sourceforge... any help would be great. here is some of my log....

  • if you compile yourself, please do a clean rebuild and check again if it crashes. if this fails, could you please upload the file you played when generating the log here (http://www.xboxmediaplayer.it/upload) and i'll have a look at it and see if i can reproduce this behaviour.

  • did a new build today...that has seemed to fix the freeze in the middle of the songs....

    now i get a "no handshaking: sleeping" at first boot up...could be my network..i'll keep trying aand let you know.

    might be audioscrobblers service. it seems to be down from time to time.


  • found something. :) audio scrobbler saves a cache if the server is not available. this cache was not saved as it should be and may caused a memory overwrite. fixed now in cvs.
